FHSAA Eligibility
North Florida Christian School is a member of the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA). Athletes are eligible under criteria established by the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) as outlined.
Students once entering the 9th grade must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or above on a 4.0 scale in all courses to remain eligible. Students that are entering the 9th grade are eligible the first semester if they have been regularly promoted from the 8th grade the previous year. Those students entering grades 10, 11, and 12 for the school year are eligible based on their cumulative GPA since entering 9th grade.
During the school year the student eligibility will be verified at the end of the first semester. Students must maintain a 2.0 cumulative average (as mentioned above) to be eligible for the 2nd semester. Note: Cumulative GPA means the GPA for "all semesters" in high school, not just the work completed in the previous semester or grading period.
A student athlete that is academically ineligible will remain ineligible until the end of the semester. Any changes made by the FHSAA could change NFCS policy in athletic eligibility in order to comply. A complete listing of eligibility guidelines such as years of participation, residence, transfer, age, etc. is outlined in the annual FHSAA manual. If you have questions concerning these guidelines, please contact our Athletic Director.
All students must have physical and consent forms on file to participate in athletics. Please see below.
